We are moving homes and I couldn't think of a better time to cancel DirecTV. My last bill was 170.00. I've been a customer since 08'. They asked if they could knock $45 per month off my bill. I stayed strong and still said no.
Anyways I'm nervous about it. I hate how much I pay but it's been pretty good. I have been experiementing with PSVUE for the past few months. It has been pretty good. It buffers sometime during sporting events which drives me crazy, but I think my internet speed was running slow at the time. I've got 200 mb down right now and actually just upgraded to 400 MB down from Suddenlink when they install in the new home next week.
In Midland the only locals I get on PSVUE are ABC. NBC and CBS are not available locally. I am going to depend on an antennae or a stand alone TiVo box or something to get those channels (that's what my home electronics dude was telling me). Most of my TV's are smart TV's and the ones that aren't' I will either buy a fire tv or Apple TV for those.
I'm a little nervous about it but figured now is as good of a time as any. I know we have a million of these threads already but wanted to know any new thoughts, ideas, or anything you cord cutters have done and have been happy with.
Thanks in advance!
