Hey guys.
Our company has posted on here before about openings with success and wanted to throw out another line to see if we could add another Red Raider to the team.
We are currently looking for a welder and a machinist/mechanic for our Lubbock facility. We rebuild industrial equipment like screw compressors, blowers, and other rotating equipment for our O&G and other industrial customers.
The welder will learn our spray arc welding technique to repair and refurbish damaged rotating equipment and housings from our lead engineer. Hours for the shop are 7-4 Monday through Friday, but during the summer some guys come in earlier so they can take off around 2 or 3.
The mechanic position is a little more jack of all trades type situation. Job will include;
1. Tearing down the machine and photographing internal components for damage. This is the best way for you to learn the machines, the layouts, seals, etc.
2. Eventually they will move to build. Which is where all components return after our machining/welding process to be re-assembled.
3. Once the compressor is complete, builders also build their own pallet, paint the unit, and prepare it for freight.
Again. Both positions will be trained by one of our staff, many of whom have been on board since our inception in 2009. The welding position will be in charge of his own area in the facility once he has been overseen enough by our engineer.
The mechanic position will be learning intensive. As the goal is always to teardown units for the first few months while they learn the ins and outs of the machines, then to progress to our builder positions. We currently have gantry's for 12 rebuild/teardown stations, but are only using 7-8.
It's a small company, and the Lubbock branch houses around 30 employees total, which includes our corporate and billing staff.
If you are interested or would like some more information about the jobs. Please contact me.
