Planning a trip to Japan next year (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto), and didn't see any prior threads. I'm looking for any tips, restaurant recs, etc., and I also have a few questions for those who have been:
- Will probably be in Tokyo for 5-6 days, which neighborhood(s) should I stay in? Shibuya and Shinjuku seem like the frontrunners, but are they too similar?
- Looking at doing a day trip from Osaka. Which one is best: Nara, Himeji (castle), or Hiroshima?
- Is staying in a Ryokan worth it?
