So, I'm a huge Rangers fan. My earliest childhood memory is getting Jim Sundberg's autograph in old Arlington Stadium. Saw Nolan, Clemens, Griffey, etc, etc, etc. Was elated as my all-time favorite player Will Clark signed as a FA and led them to their first playoff appearance. Grown man sports-cried to my wife after GAME SIX. Hell, I even saw Kevin Costner take infield before a game when he was in town filming JFK.
Anyhoo, due to work commitments (work for City of Austin and ACL has had me swamped), I haven't seen a pitch of playoff ball yet. Question is, do I tempt fate and watch tonight, since it'll be my first chance to do so? Do I keep the good vibes rolling and just incessantly check the ESPN app for the score? Part of me would be crushed if THIS was the year finally and I didn't watch any of it, but that's a cross I'm willing to bear.
