A Hobbs man who was arrested after crashing into an Adobe Storage building Thursday reportedly told police he didn't remember driving.
Hobbs police announced Thursday that Clint Brady, 36, was charged with driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, possession of narcotic paraphernalia and careless driving.
The criminal complaint states a Hobbs traffic officer determined the vehicle, which hauled a Little Debbie's trailer, was traveling westbound on East Navajo Drive when it left the roadway, struck a barbed wire fence, went over an embankment and through a chain link fence, where it became airborne before landing into the storage building. The total distance traveled was 1,584 feet.
Brady reportedly told police that he didn't know what happened, stating that he was on his way home from work and thought he was parked at the Albertson's grocery store.*
*Alberston's is roughly 1.5 miles from this location.
