One of the most memorable moments in sports history was the protest of Tommy Smith and John Carlos on the victory stand for the 200 M in 1968. It is a moment i will never forget.

But on that victory stand there was another man, Peter Norman of Australia, who has gotten precious little mention, in spite of his extraordinary story. Take a moment and read the article linked and watch the videos. I think you will find it phenomenal and, in many ways, quite timely with recent discussions on RRS.
