My 11 year old Chessie is having a tough time the last couple days. She's having a lot of trouble getting up and the last couple nights she can't make it through the night and has had accidents in the house. She's been in perfect health her whole life except about a year ago I had to have some tumors removed from her leg. With her age the vet and I decided it was pointless to pursue any type of aggressive treatment since she was doing great otherwise and it would probably just ruin her quality of life for the last year or two she had. She's eating okay and at times is acting like her old normal self but I can tell she's not right.
She's been a much better dog than I ever deserved but I don't like seeing her like this.
