OT: DIY Pergola Project

Need some outdoor project advice.


My wife and I finished up the base structure of our pergola yesterday.

I have gotten 2 recommendations for staining the pressure treated wood.

One is to let the wood dry out some so it can thoroughly absorb the stain.


One is to stain immediately.

Want this project to look fantastic, so I come to RRS for help.


Stain now. Or let the wood dry out some?


Also it’s in Houston to the humidity may affect the stain.
