OT-Did Thompson Get Arrested Because of Tech Football’s Stance on BLM?

I am wondering why the Sheriff would pick him up for an old misdemeanor the week of the UT game? Also, why did Tech Athletics put up a BLM sign? I thought public institutions were not supposed to take political stances? Thoughts?
