I moved to NJ for my company a little over a year ago and was part of their relocation program. There is a relocation payback agreement, but I am 95% sure I didn't sign it and send it in. Per the agreement, if I leave before October 2018 I owe back 50% of the benefits I received.
So my question for the greater knowledge of the board, do you think even though I didn't sign the agreement they can hold me to it?
Here is why we want out...we are hating NJ. So while I don't really want to leave my company, I am open to leaving to get the hell out of here. Especially since the project I am on doesn't end until August 2019, which is when my eldest starts High School. Once she starts HS I promised her we wouldn't move, so I worry about getting stuck here until 2023.
And before people come on here saying that isn't being fair to the company. You are right it isn't. But we have had two massive re-orgs in 3 years and I have seen a lot of good people get let go for no real reason.
