As some of you know, I'm involved with the Southwest Parkinson Society based here in Lubbock. Our 2nd annual fundraiser golf tournament is coming up soon:
2020 Aces Wild Golf Tournament
Monday, Sept. 28th
Lakeridge Country Club
11:00 am registration
12:30 shotgun start
$125 per person
4 person scramble
We've go a unique proposition - we're going to play the course with eight par 3 holes (the usual four, plus four additional holes set up as par 3s). The eight people who get closest to the pin on those holes and two more golfers drawn at random, will qualify for a hole-in-one contest immediately after the tournament. If one of those 10 golfers is lucky enough to make an ace, they will win $100,000.
We'll have a grab-and-go lunch, long drive, straightest drive, and some raffles.
SW Parkinson Society is a great, deserving cause. We operate on a shoestring budget and provide services for patients and their caregivers across a wide swath of Texas and eastern New Mexico. 100% of the proceeds of the tournament go toward helping those folks.
Click the link above to register. We're well over half full on teams, so sign up as soon as you can. Additionally, if any of you businessfolk would like to help us out with a sponsorship let me know.
Thansk and carry on, you bunch of degenerates...
