My wife and I bought our home a little over 2 years ago in McKinney. As of today, the market value of our home (according to recent comps) is about 40K more than what we paid. I just had a Realtor come knock on my door (unsolicited) and say she could get us nearly 60K more than we paid. Houses are getting 10-20 offers of full price or more after one weekend of showings. I had one agent contact me and say they are predicting home prices in my area to continue to rise at 4-8% per quarter through 2016. I don't know very much about real estate but I'm curious to hear from those on here in the industry about what to expect from this market.
