New docuseries (six episodes) on Netflix called Cheer, about the elite Navarro College cheerleading team, is really interesting and has a lot of Texas Tech references. Navarro is a junior college in Corsicana and their cheer team is dominant, having won 14 national championships since 2000. One of the people interviewed is Billy Smith, a former Texas Tech cheerleader. He is quite a big name in the cheer world (he ran competitive cheerleading in the Dallas area) and I've seen him at TTAA pre game events before.
Texas Tech is a big deal in the cheer world and even if you aren't interested in cheerleading, it will captivate you and give you a new appreciation for our team. There at least a couple of current Tech cheerleaders who started at Navarro (and were in this Netflix show)!
