OT: Car Insurance claim

so I was in an accident on December 26th in my wife's car. It has been at the collision repair place since. I just got a text yesterday from the collision place that the hood to my car is on a national backorder with no ETA. Great! My insurance policy also has a 30 day max on rentals. Is there any workaround to extend the rental on insurance's dime since this is completely out of my control or am I shit out of luck and will have to pay for the rental out of pocket for every day beyond the 30?
