I've always been curious about what is ultimately done with unsold new car inventory. I don't know the ins and outs, but I'd have to imagine that every year there are quite a few unsold new vehicles, yet I've never seen any kind of overstock sales option where a consumer can buy a, say, 2017 auto with new car miles on it. Does such a thing exist? Are cars destroyed to prop up the new car market? Where do they go?
