Here's what I've learned about new Texas Tech quarterback commit Jett Duffey in the last two hours:
... He is expected to graduate early and enroll at Texas Tech in time to compete in spring practice next year. That's huge. The Red Raiders are on track to have four quarterbacks on campus
... Duffey is a legit 6-foot, 180 pounds. He obviously needs to add some weight, but he'll be able to do that in Lubbock.
... Duffey camped with the Red Raiders last summer in Lubbock. Texas Tech has seen him throw twice this spring.
... You have to like Duffey's competitiveness. He's been to three Elite 11 regional camps -- Dallas, New Orleans and Charlotte -- and took home top honors in New Orleans and Charlotte.
... Duffey doesn't have the strongest arm, but he has plus athleticism and plus accuracy.
... From all accounts, Duffey carries himself well off the field.
