The rites of fall had descended upon the South Plains.
A sense of hope and jubilation filled the air.
...but vanished upon the annual collapse of the defense
Within defeat a hero emerged....
Only to fly too close to the sun by neglecting to slide when 30 f#$%ing yards up field with a first down
In the moment of despair and impending ruin, an unlikely hero would fulfill his long awaited destiny...
