I'm an old, 60, and things seem to have changed over the decades. I was lucky enough to live close enough to elementary school and junior high that I walked to/from school. Sometimes by bike. Seems kids are mostly dropped off by car now, no matter the distance, with long lines of vehicles waiting to drop off/pick up and traffic directors.
