It is not unclear at all from their posts and media that Vladislav Goldin and Esahia Nwiye have both announced commitments to Texas Tech to play basketball. However, it is also clear that Texas Tech has not announced the commitment of either player. I know Tech does not comment on verbal commitments but you would think that these players would have inked a commitment if Tech intended to sign them at the time they committed.
I totally get that we may be slow playing some commits for purposes of filling out our roster but I am wondering whether either of these guys is still in the mix? What is the situation with these guys?
I think that, if either or both of these guys is coming next year, we have better comfort with front line height to supplement Santos Silva. However, if they are no longer in the mix or we have other irons in the fire, we are gonna need front line height.
