I know this will be just one of many such posts, but the hell with it. Texas Tech needs a new head football coach.
How much more evidence is needed? How many more embarrassing losses do we have to experience? How many more years does Kliff need to turn this program around from being a laughing stock ?
The fact is that after all these years with KK at the helm, we still have a horrible defense. We may be better than last year but so what? We were historically bad last year so a little improvement this year isn't exactly saying much.
The fact is that after all these years, we have a very average (at best) quarterback. And that may be being generous.
The fact is that after all these years, our offensive line might be average. Maybe.
The fact is that after all these years, we don't even have a field goal kicker who could make a high school team.
The fact is that after all these years, we are still losing all of our Big 12 games to just about everyone with a winning record.
And that's just the bottom line here, wins and losses. Whether it's play calling, strategy or recruiting, the buck stops with Kliff. We are going nowhere and there is no reason to think it will ever be any different with this staff. You know the definition of insanity. Isn't it time we stop doing the same thing over and over that never seems to work?
It's time we face it, Tech simply has to make a change. It saddens me because I know we all wanted Kliff to succeed. But he hasn't and he has had plenty of time.
Today's loss should be the last straw.
