Considering how much money is being forked over for highly ranked HS kids, and their propensity to flame out or take several years to develop, does make any sense to play heavily in this market. The only caveat is only if you can sign these kids to multi-year binding agreements.

So moving forward, do you dedicate your NIL funds for the 3 star/fringe 4 star players, and let others waste their budgets on higher ranked players? Or do you keep pursuing the Micah Hudson types, knowing that they can potentially pay off hugely on the field, but also knowing that they can leave you to chase another bag after 1 year of limited to no production?

For me, I think it is far more valuable and predictable to pay heavy $ in the portal, and I would choose to live in the portal and let others risk their resources on the young kids.
