Red Raider Brothers and Sisters, today, my original Houston-based band, The Recollection (www.therecollection.net) dropped it’s 2nd studio album. It’s an EP titled “True Texas True”. We paired up with legendary Houston producer, Jack Saunders on this project and had guest appearances from folks like Lloyd Maines and Tina Wilkins. We’ve been at it for a while and for the most part have stayed true to writing, recording and performing real Texas music. Some of you guys may have been around when I announced our first release “This Is Texgrass!” here on RRS back in 2017. We aim for a throwback country sound, often with a bit of grass edge, and in most cases - tunes about Texas subjects. This band is a great group of people, that I’m honored to lead. Please, give the tunes a spin, give us a follow, add us to your playlists, etc. We could truly use some Red Raider love. Two of us are die-hard Red Raiders.
