Got a new labrador this weekend. Yellow lab, male, 4 months. Both parents are chocalates.
He's very good so far. Already house trained, sleeps in the kennel without a sound. Doesnt bark much. Doesnt seem to have a propensity to chew as he hasn't even looked at my workboots or furniture. We live in townhome which is less than ideal with no dedicated backyard, but there is large common area to fetch and my wife plans to run him with her.
Do you guys have vet insurance? My wife has enrolled him in a plan at a PetsSmart vet clinic for $36 a month which covers shots and neutering etc.
I've been told he should be neutered early as possible so he doesn't start to mark stuff.
Any other thoughts from the board? I know several of you must be lab owners.
