A day I have dreaded has arrived. My son no longer wants to play baseball. He has played 5 yrs, got to pitch a few games last year and rotated at shortstop/catcher, so he is not bad. I was not a good athlete, but I played baseball into high school and love the sport. How on earth have others dealt with this day? I will not pressure him to play, but man this one hurts. I absolutely love to watch him play. His reason is a typical one at 9, he doesn't want to get pegged.
