I recently purchased a road bike, and am riding to prepare for the MS 150 in Dallas. I would like to find a watch that's good for tracking rides for distance, speed, GPS route, etc, and ideally be able to sync with a cadence sensor. I've been looking online, and my favorite so far (without spending a fortune) is the Garmin Fenix 3, followed by a Garmin Vivoactive 3, And Fitbit Ionic. If anyone can give me any pointers, other suggestions, pros, cons, whatever, I would appreciate it.
Alternatively, is there a reason why I should go with a more traditional cycling computer mounted to the bike? I like the idea of having everything on a watch and the portability, but if I am going to miss out on any vital functions I may reconsider.
Thanks in advance!
