United Supermarkets made a contest for naming the new horse and will be announced Friday. Below is the email I received today
I still stand by my entry of “Centennial”
“Thanks for submitting your suggestion to name the Texas Tech University Masked Rider's next horse! We had a tremendous response to the contest and received thousands of great ideas.
Texas Tech University will announce the official name of the Masked Rider’s new horse on Friday, September 2 at 5:30 p.m. and you're invited!
Following the announcement, United Supermarkets and Rave On will host free live music on Buddy’s Patio from 6 – 9 p.m. as part of First Friday Art Trail. Barbecue featuring Raider Red Meats will be available for purchase. Check out the menu here. The first 100 guests will receive a Texas Tech koozie and a $5 store gift card.”
