#4 is the big one that made news this weekend. I thought UNC made a bad hire and that he was over the hill.. I guess I was wrong.
1)Mack Brown at UNC went 7-6 last year after they won won a total of 5 games the previous two years.
2) Their freshman qb Sam Howell last year threw for 38 touchdowns and 9 picks with 62% completion percentage.
3) He pulled the 19th best recruiting class in the country for 2020 with 9 four stars. I don’t think we have ever had 9 four stars on our whole roster at one time.
4) He just stole the 56th best player in the country for 2021 who was committed to Bama- Drake Maye. He threw 50 touchdowns and only 2 picks as a junior.
5) I don’t know who is doing his qb recruiting but he is far from the days that got him fired at Texas of picking Garrett Gilbert, David Ash, Case McCoy, and Tyrone Swoopes over pretty much every talented qb that wanted to go there.
Good for him, I want the recruiting bump for Tech that he is getting for UNC.
