Gentlemen,
I am moving back to Texas (finally) from NYC. We are shopping in the Dallas area. Wife fancy's a big house in the burbs (Plano, Richardson, Carrollton, etc. versus in the city).
Anyways...I am a first time home buyer and we are approaching the mortgage pre-approval step. My question to you veterans is what is the best way to shop for the best mortgage rate? My wife signed up on one of those websites (may have been quicken loans) and literally got non-stop calls. It was early and we just wanted to see what the competitive landscape looked like at the time. Were much farther in the process now and really want to get something lined up and get pre-approved so were ready to put in a competitive offer in the coming weeks. Dont know if there is a less painful way to shop. Please advise. Thanks in advance!
