I know we had threads, but both teams deserved some major props. Golfers came back from 5 down over the last 3 holes to knock UT below the cut line. The top four scorers, Hill, Brown, Barker and Mason were bunched at -2 to +2 for the tourney. Pretty good stuff. Each of those players will be back (two Jr's two Fr). First time since '96 to make it to the Championship, which will start May 22 in Bradenton, FL. Link to Tech site recap……..http://www.texastech.com/sports/w-golf/recaps/050915aab.html

The #16 tennis women came back from losing the doubles point to win all but one of the singles matches (one match not completed) to knock out #22 LSU. The lone senior, Kenna Kilgo, lost her match. Kenna had a tough draw against the #29 ranked player. Kenna is an all time great Red Raider...imo. Talaba, Dvorak, Kiro, Federici, and Jackson all won in straight sets (Federici was leading 6-1, 5-3 when Jackson clinched it). That's 4 freshmen and 1 soph (Kiro). They set a school record with their 21st win of the year (21-6) and advance to the sweet 16 in Waco beginning May 15. Barring an upset today, they will likely face #1 overall seed USC.
