We were one of the unlucky families that lost everything in Texas storms due to flooding. Long story short we were holding out at the Lake House with our newborn (for heat) while unbeknownst to us our Burleson house was taking on water for three days causing us to lose all possessions and build out on the bottom floor of the property.
Anyway - I’m in the middle of laying out all of the put-back and was curious to hear your feedback. Some things we’re considering:
Modernizing showers and vanities - back lit mirrors in bathrooms.
Replacing old bulky fireplace for modern gas/propane.
Updating power plugs in common areas for USB and USB C capabilities.
Wifi/app schedule switches for some of the exterior safety lights.
dimmer switches on upper and lower lighting in kitchen.
Lower lighting in master bathroom cabinets.
Sink in laundry room near washer/dryer (we have three kids).
Crushed ice maker in kitchen - water hook-up/drain.
Decent coffee maker with water hook-up.
Plumbing propane into house for gas stove top and oven.
Any other ideas for consideration from you nerds?
