Texas will fall to 2-5 in SEC and 13-7 overall. It’s not going to get any better.
Texas has never felt comfortable with Rodney Terry, a career .500 coach who did just well enough to keep his job following the Beard firing. They know they are settling. They will likely fire Terry.
While it’s not out of the question, one of the places they will look to for a new coach is a place they play at Wednesday — Oxford. Almost assuredly another place Del Conte will look is the same place he did five years ago, right here on the South Plains.
I don’t think Grant bolts, but I do think he will get a nice bump in salary.
