- Coach Wells said he won't address the stadium sound, PA or music in his presser BUT explained to me the rule is the sound cuts off once the ball is addressed. "It's a bit of a grey area with us no-huddle teams." You could sense his feelings about that whenever it happened against Baylor.

"Yeah. That's a question about the sound in a game, certainly came up during the game. You can't play the sound once you address the ball. It becomes a little bit of a gray area for all of us no-huddle teams that want to address the ball. Not supposed to have music, band, piped in music, whatever. So that's certainly game ops.

Big 12 Conference, they can continue to address that. I'm not going to sit here in my press conference and address it. I respect the question."

- Coach Wells said there is no knife going deeper once the Big 12 announced the missed call on the "illegal snap."

"No knife. No knife.

The referees are accountable for their actions and their calls. I expect the Big 12, as I know they already have, to deal with it and continue to deal with it directly and appropriately and swiftly. I trust and believe that they are."

- Wells talking about SaRodorick. Said he fires the o-line up and brings an energy to the offense. "I'm proud of SaRodorick ... I thought he had a breakout game." Wells said anybody can step in when someone is down with an injury. They needed him to do that. Ta'Zhawn Henry is expected to be back this entire week.

- Last offensive drive included a third and 14 that Sarodorick almost picked up. That play was called by the coaches and didn't change at the line. They were 50/50 on offense and defense in short yardage opportunities which was why they knew they were sending out the field goal unit.

- Wells turned plays into the Big 12 office including the one in the end zone following Eli Howard's sack. They're waiting on an answer on that one. He will not disclose how many plays they turned in.

- McLane Mannix is just fine. He got stepped on and that is all. Seth Collins will have an X-Ray soon, should be within the next week. They'll check his status for the end of the year - possibly after the bye week. The length of this process was because it was a really shattering break. Thomas Leggett and Des Smith are "day-to-day."
