I posted this earlier today in the live chat, but wanted to post what I heard over the weekend along with what Level has heard in its own thread.
My source indicates that Pat is currently 50-50 on heading to the NFL or coming back. It's also hard to ignore the possible pay day he could get. As Level noted on Tech Talk, it sounds like we'll likely get a decision this week, however.
My guess is he goes.
UPDATE: There's a report out that Mahomes has decided to go pro. My sources indicate that he still hasn't made a decision. Just wanted to let y'all know.
UPDATE, Tuesday Dec. 27th: This is getting interesting. From what I'm hearing, Mahomes would like to return for his senior season at Texas Tech. However, his father would prefer that the QB enter the draft now, and if Mahomes were to return to Tech for 2017, it would be against his father's wishes. His decision is obviously dragging on a bit here longer than most eligible players, a sign that Mahomes is in fact still pondering which way he'll go. We do believe that Coach Kingsbury and several others visited Mahomes before Christmas, and we believe that was to try and talk him into coming back. More as we know it.
