Mon 6:26a update
It'll be another very hot day. Yesterday's high was 97, today it should be around 101, sunny. Can't rule out an isolated storm in the area, but the chance is lower than yesterday.
First pitch upper 90s, climbing to around 101 by 4 p.m. or so. The wind is out of the SE this morning, but should be easterly (in from far left field or third base line) through the game 10-15mph.
Sun 3:40p update
Scattered showers and storms are just west of Lubbock now, spreading east. So it should rain and probably storm at the Law over the next hour. With the random placement of summertime storms it’s tough to give an exact timing.
Hopefully this one line will move through then it’s clear behind it. There is a chance for a storm through the evening.
I probably jinxed it. Instead of watching on TV like yesterday, today went to in-laws in Littlefield to swim. Storms popped up around here. At least rain will cool it off some.

10% chance for a storm during the game today. While it’s not much, latest computer models show a few storms developing in the area (100 miles around Lubbock). These summertime storms usually don’t last long and pop up somewhat randomly.
Main thing is the heat. Forecast is on track...88 right now, high around 94 in the shade. Gusty S/SE wind up around 20mph.
20% storm chance late Sunday afternoon to early Monday morning.

It'll be hot this weekend, but not the brutal heat of last Friday. That afternoon's high was 107.
Both Saturday and Sunday will top out in the mid 90s, south wind gusty at times. High temp hits somewhere around 4-5 p.m. There is a low chance for a late afternoon storm Sunday.
It will still be really hot to be out in the sun during these afternoons.
