I have been doing a deep dive on Lubbock history. Lubbock is such a legit place and has so many amazing stories. Im in the process of coming up with a way to tell these stories of past, present and bright future.
One thing I have had a soap box about for years is Lubbock does not celebrate and appreciate it's music history enough. Buddy Holly, Terry Allen, The Flatlanders etc. In many ways Lubbock directly influenced and helped shape music as a whole. The music scene has dried up in recent decades if we are honest. Not completely, but not nearly what are roots produced. Anyways....I could write for days on that....
