40 years old, in reasonably good shape. Was at the gym this morning and felt a pop in my lower back, not painful but immediately got very tight. It remains uncomfortable but not overly painful. I can walk and sit without any real pain, but bending down takes some effort. I want to get out in front of this (if possible) before it gets worse.
Any suggestions? Should I see a doc? Or just ice it and wait for it to go away? Never had any back issues before and I don’t want this to compound. I’ve had friends with chronic back issues and I’m not interested in that mess.
