Headed to LA in July with Mrs Developer for a 3-day weekend and concert. Looking for recommendations on where to stay, eat etc. I've been to LA once in my life but was mostly Anaheim/Disney, so I don't know squat other than what I've seen on tv/movies.
Would like to stay someplace that we can walk to bars, restaurants if possible, or a nice resort on the water. I'm thinking around Sunset or in Santa Monica but again I'm betting some of y'all have some great local knowledge. Concert is at Dodger Stadium so we have to get from where we stay to there Sat and Sunday night. My thinking is that rules out Newport Beach resorts.
