NORMAN — Oklahoma redshirt freshman offensive tackle Kenyon Frison has been suspended indefinitely, coach Bob Stoops announced Monday afternoon.
The suspension is for a violation of unspecified team rules. According to a news release, Frison hasn’t been with the team for the past several weeks and won’t participate in fall camp.
Frison, from West Valley City, Utah, was a four-star signee in Oklahoma’s 2014 recruiting class and redshirted a year ago. He was ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 32 offensive tackle in the country that year.
Frison committed to the Sooners on the morning of the 2014 national signing day, choosing OU over offers from Arizona State, Nebraska and Utah.
The 6-foot-6, 289-pound Frison was expected to compete for a starting spot on Oklahoma’s offensive line, which lost Tyrus Thompson and Daryl Williams off last year’s squad.
