Obviously, we'd love to see a couple-three commitments at LB by signing day. As much as we don't feel confident about our DL at times, we've got some much needed depth there for next year (inexperienced of course) though i'd assume we will grab 1-3 (?) freshman/transfers. Something we SHOULD be excited about is how we've locked up 5 DB's so far, which absolutely will be an upgrade in those position groups (CB's especially). I think we have a DL and LB core that we can build off of (assuming they remain healthy and do not break into houses and steal guns). I'm wondering if we will go after more DB's (?), lock up some LB's, and we could actually start to see an improved defense next year. I say that with confidence, because it can't get much worse. We have a lot to build on off of our offense, if Mahomes leaves it could get a little messy- but as far as i'm concerned, look at how Baylor's system has developed an offense where they can plug-and-play with a new QB. I'm not saying we can replace Mahomes, NO WAY, however, with a beefy OL next year and a QB coached by Kliff (Mahomes or someone else), a 2nd year RB in Dauphine, and a WR core that continues to impress- we could see a complete team on the rise.
