As I read it, the Raiders have a total of 4 returning players who have played for Tech in a game and 6 players overall who have played at least one minute of college basketball.
Returning players with Tech experience are Benson, Edwards, Corprew, and Moretti. Players with experience in the program but no minutes played are Savrasov and McCullar. Players with experience but new to Tech are Clarke and Holyfield.
That's mighty young! There are 7 players, as of this moment, who have yet to play one minute of college basketball: Tchewa, McCullar, Ramsey, Savrasov, Nadolny, Shannon, and Smith.
I have no doubt that all these players are very capable, work hard, and play hard. I have no doubt these guys all have a steely resolve to win, but it's the rare group of freshman that can go on the road and win in the Big 12. It just is. It will be very interesting to watch this group and see how they come together.
I have no idea how other Big 12 rosters look, maybe the league as a whole is young this coming season. Seems like ISU lost a lot of guys. TCU. Baylor. KSU.
Anyway, couldn't sleep last night thinking about the addition of Tyreek Smith and how amazing all these players look. The future's so bright we gotta wear shades.
