Our bracket is suddenly crazy looking. It's a sin to look ahead, but look at the super and World Series matchups. After their come from behind win last night, OSU looks to win their regional. Maybe I'm overly optomistic after our first 2 wins. But I like our odds now of getting to Omaha.
The big surprise is our potential opponent should we get to Omaha. Oregon State and UCLA were the prohibitive favorites to advance. Biggest shocker may have been UCLA's (overall #1 seed) loss last night. It means they will have to beat BU and then LMU twice to get to the super regional. Creighton ended OSU's season yesterday in a shocker. They should beat Cincy and then try to beat Mich twice. It's a long shot, but how awesome if Creighton could advance. They'd probably be favored in the super over anyone but UCLA. And where is Creighton located? Omaha, Nebraska. And their home field is ….Ameritrade, the site of the World Series. Imagine the ticket prices of their first game in the World Series? And if we get there, we would be their opponent. Talk about a home field advantage. Above all, it's wide open if UCLA goes down today.
