For the most part the "Locked On" podcasts are quite good. They aren't all quite as good as what we get from our own @Casey Cowan and @C. Level but that's a higher bar to hold them all to than is probably reasonable (and I mean that sincerely; we've been fortunate to have Tech journalists and personalities that are as good as those two and many others that have come and gone from RRS). But still, the vast majority I've heard from various schools and conferences are pretty consistently good.

Then there is Locked on Big 12. I'm just going to say it, the guy who does that podcast is a nutjob. If it were only his odd and kind of creepy mannerisms that bothered me, I'd probably just ignore it. But his content, especially the headlines, are a half step above Weekly World News and National Enquirer.

Today's headline is "Arizona State APPEALING Loss to Texas After TERRIBLE Call, College Football Playoff Still Alive!"

I've seen enough crazy clickbait headlines from him that I didn't click on it and I imagine if I did it would be a bunch of resounding non-stories that don't support the headline. Previous to this one his headline was "Arizona State, Big 12 IS BETTER Than Texas, SEC Had Referees Cheat in College Football Playoff" (that second part is probably true, but it still sounds incredibly tabloidish and definitely not factual journalism since I doubt he has any source that showed him proof). Before that it was "Arizona State Will BLOW OUT Texas: Quinn Ewers Turnover Machine, College Football Playoff Bye Edge" and "ESPN DOESN'T Want You to Know the Big 12 is OWNING Bowl Season: BYU, Iowa State, TCU, Kansas State".

Do the folks who created the "Locked On" series have standards for the folks running the indiividual podcasts? That Big 12 podcast is ****ing embarrassing with the outlandish headlines and the guy who runs it acting like he's taken a full bottle of Adderall before each broadcast. It seems like for the podcast that represents the whole conference they'd try to have someone at Casey and Chris's level (no pun intended) rather than this goof running it.

Is it that bad to everyone else or am I just missing something (which is totally possible)?
