Sounds like the final coaching position will be a defensive backs coach. Level mentioned the possibility of promoting Brett Dewhurst who I believed served as a defensive graduate assistant for Texas Tech this past year. I would view this as a very blah hire. You fire Curtis with 6 plus years as a Division One coach to then be replaced by a graduate assistant. I would think Tech can do a lot better than that.
