Is the NCAA going to issue an additional year of eligibility to players who lost this season? I think basketball is the only sport that you could argue shouldn’t get it, but an argument could be made for it as well.
However, the other question on this is, if you grant redshirt eligibility, how much does that screw with scholarship numbers for each sport? Teams will possibly have to tell kids that they no longer have room.
If that happens, there will then be a shortage of incoming players to fulfill a full recruiting class, leaving a lot of sports short of players for an entire cycle. This whole thing is just completely weird.
