#1. I want Tech to succeed.
#2. I'm ok if it's w KK (especially since he's here now), but refer back to #1.
That said, is he really a QB whisperer? He's definitely had lots of them post some staggering numbers, but is that due to the offense or their improvement as a QB under KK?
Manziel was bailed out by chunking it deep to Mike Evans and never really progressed as a QB. That's probably as much on him being a knucklehead as lack of growth under KK. Mayfield too small a sample size here. Webb good until he started thinking about the play. Never really improved and plateaued quickly. Mahomes got by on his athleticism and apparently could not be taught to take what the defense gives you. Nic seems to fall apart late in games and locks onto primary receivers.
Sometimes it seems that when we put in a QB w/o experience, they seemed to perform better (and took what the D gave them instantly) as opposed to when they try to make something happen (overthinking and holding on to the ball too long).
So where is the QB guru? He refuses to pull a poor performing QB even for a series and has different practice/play rules for QBs than other players.
Do our QBs get better as QBs or do they get better at running his system? These are not mutually inclusive or exclusive. I guess I'm not seeing the improvement that I feel like a true "QB whisperer" can provide.
That said, see #2 and then #1 above.
