Doubt I'm alone on this - but I feel he's playing himself into an NBA roster this season.
I've always liked him, thought he was one of (if not) the best drivers in the conference. I will literally rewatch games and study his driving techniques because I'd think it's a thing of beauty.
But I've never really thought he was great until the last 3-4 games. I truly think he went from good to elite this season. His outside shooting is getting him there. I think he's passed Jevon Carter and is only below Trae Young for best all around guard in the conference.
Weird to say this, but I'm starting to to see some things that remind me of a really young Kobe - his shot selection, how he creates space, etc. Do I think he'll be a Kobe someday? Fvck no, not even close, but just the fact that any part of his game reminds me of him is insane and speaks volumes for how much he's progressed.
The team winning is absolutely helping his cause - but I think this dude is one of the best to ever put on a Tech jersey.
