I have heard how a big reason why spread teams have issues with fielding a good defense is because they don't practice against the run very often. Makes me wonder if we even think about dedicating enough time in practice against the run. To me you would think that it would work on both sides where the D and the O lines would get better, but the most important part of this is that the D would get more work in against the run. How many times does an offense have to practice the pass when that's all that you have been doing since being on campus. Seems to me that you would only do yourself a favor by actually dedicating time in practice to do this. What ever we are doing now isn't enough.

Coaches on the board, what are your thoughts on this?
