I thought he knocked it out of the park. Told some great stories. The Tokyo game story and Gene getting on him for Jimmy's exit cracked me up (as he put it "after Jimmy screwed up and we parted ways" busted everyone up including Jimmy). Did a really good job of showing respect for Landry and Jimmy and giving them the thanks they deserved. He mentioned that Landry's son was there. I think that says a lot about what that family thinks about Jerry and the Jones family.
I loved what he had to say about all the players he mentioned. Even took time to single out Herschel.
Everything he said about his kids and Gene (said she has never missed a game since they bought the team) was really special. Pretty moving stuff. Really liked what he said about Charlotte especially. Say what you want about the guy but he seems to have done a great job raising some kids that are doing great things.
Hopefully tonight was a step towards putting Jimmy in the Cowboys RoH. I really think deep down Jerry would like to get that done himself before it's too late. Very cool that Jimmy was up there with him.
