it is only fitting that you see that Kliff isn't the guy by seeing what an excellent coaching hire looks like: Matt Campbell. As we all know ISU is a low level program but you know by year 2 if you have a good coach and ISU got a good one.

What really sucks is Kliff isn't terrible but he isn't good enough. no ranked signature wins with Pat Mahomes starting for two years and a history of losing winnable games. TCU in 2015, WVU games,OSU games, etc.

I get giving him an extended chance because he splits with P5 non conference schools and makes a bowl every other year and you can see some progress as a coach.

However very few signature victories and an inability to adjust at half. That WVU loss hurt because win that which you should have and maybe show up for this game and it's a totally different season. But how many times have we said that?

Recruiting has been average this year and it's a good time to make a change if there is a coach you feel good about.

I feel he most likely goes 6-6 and if he wins the bowl game it will be a tough decision. 5-7 and the decision is made for you.

It is like Paul Rhodes career, at some point it's just not good enough. Kliff is like going for it on 4th and not getting it by an inch. He does some good but just can't get over the hump...and its year 5. I feel like we wishing in one hand and piling up Ls in the other.

Hope the best for the rest of the season but this two game stretch has confirmed he isn't the guy. If he comes back it Depends on if you really want to be a contender or hope to be mediocre every year. Our expectations have fallen to praying for a bowl at this point. It's time.
