The usual football presser is still today BUT after we conclude here, we’ll be heading to the USA to hear from coach Beard and the senior class of Red Raider basketball. First official day of practice is this afternoon. I’ll have everything we learn posted once everything wraps up. If everything goes well, we could see both playing as ranked programs at the same time as basketball begins on 11/6.
UPDATE: Since it’s crunch from the end of football until basketball, here are some quick notes from Kliff’s presser.
- Y’alls favorite – game-time decisions. TJ, Da’Leon and Tre are listed as so. TJ’s injury came late in the game last week but he still went through with finishing the game.
- Jah’Shawn said he was challenged by coaches to be more vocal and Preston Gordon signed off on that this past Saturday for him. He said Jah’Shawn could be heard every play.
- Clayton Hatfield has missed one kick this second and is a stellar 32-33 with all kicks included. He’s liking the fair catch rule on kickoffs. Said it gets his guys rest from running down the field. He’s been working on his touchbacks and has around 20 on the year.
